did not do much today.
up late to drop brother to college, went for a quick swim there, just to do something. didnt spend too long, there was an aqua aerobics class on, andn there were aload of young girls messing in the lanes. did a couple of lengths then sat into the jacussi for myself.

spent the rest of the day watching TV. 6pm decided to take another swim. this time i did 10 lengths, then a couple breast stroke, then 20. so thats 30 in total !! happy bout that.

made dinner today. cheese twirls with chops. it was OK. methinks i made too much pasta. ah well.

although when i managed 20 middle last week ? i could only manage back to 4 for the coupla days after.

Ive decided i need a new hobby. too much time to be doing nothing. I could go back working for the next week or two. get a bit of cash in the bank, or i could take it off. im thinking of just taking it off. i need to have a fresh head going back into college this year. i know that now.
if i get back into college that is !!!
any ideas on a hobby ? i could goto the gym like most of the day. that would tie me up for a while.
i could start doing web design for something again.
i dont know.

Just back from swimming. actually refreshed now !, might have one tomorrow morning see how that goes.
well impressed with myself today !, did 10 lengths of the pool without stopping, forward stroke. think might have been able to manage one or two more, but 10 was suffice for the time. i was only able to do 4 when i got back, then 6 once or twice.
as i said was well impressed ! ;)
after that i did my length under water, straight up and two full lengths at full pace. then straight into the jacussi.

hope now. Tru Calling is on at 20:00. part 1 of 2 of the season finale, but aint that bad, cos sky magazine says she will be back next year for another season.

alright a while ago i posted about something that was annoying me...
my bedside alarm/clock/radio/CD player had a problem with displaying the very last digit in that only 3 of the 7 segments were showing.
I just had the weirdest dream!... i work up in the middle of the nite and the digits were working perfectly ! i spent a moment or two looking at it, admiring. but went back to sleep. thing is this happened another two times, with the digit showing perfectly ! anyway i woke up this morning. and it was working !
i still dont believe it, so im going to wait until i go back to the room to make sure it wasnt just like a dream ?

Well the lads are off. dropped them over to the airport, and had a quick pint with them.
2 weeks in the sun, in a small apartment, with probablly little to no money.
they invited me to come over after my exams for the last week. so tempting
its only sunday, and i have too much to think about.

need to put in 100% tomorrow. for the exam on tuesday.

was doing bouncing again last nite.
very quiet nite. one group of lads there found out that their mate died in a car crash there and then! poor lads. dont know how i would take it.

so anyway... after that i went home, and dropped in to the local, where i worked for a nite or two. and there was an older gentleman on the ground with a crowd around him. seems he broke his ankle, and collapsed or so im told.
He was sitting/lying on the ground at the door. people were handling the situation so i didnt butt in. they had him covered, with cushions under him, and an ambulance on the way.
i jumped in doing a bit of crowd control. just for the crack. either that or go home and eat dinner.

i got paid last nite... but i did 2 days, and i didnt get enough for the two days, and too little for one day. so i was told that he will have a look at it, and get back to me. ill give him a while.

exams are coming up this week. one tuesday, and one thursday.
going to get offline right now. i might have a bit of brekkie if i see anything nice. then im going to get the books out to study. i dont know how much i will be able to get done. but its better looking over them, than them in my bag.


good friend is going through a very rough patch, and it seems that im only making things worse. seems like anything say is unimportant. she needs to be the centre of the world right now. so im going to give it to her.
see how much of it i can take.

My phone was messing up past couple of days. anytime some1 would ring, it wouldnt ring, but the txt messages would ring. that was on loud.
and i have one that will vibrate only. it would only vibrate on calls, not messages ! :(
i had a program on the phone that would play like rain or construction work, i found somewhere. i took that off and the calls started ringing... i dont think the vibrate mode is working though.

tried to study today, but not too sucessful ! :(

went for a swim, saw a guy that came in after me, swimming about 15/20 laps.i found out he was a cop later on. one fit guy!

there was an irish soccer game on in dublin, and i was doing security for it. well not exactly security, more stewarting, but they called us security, so im happy.

i started bouncing again, last weekend, got another place this weekend. was doing it for years, but left a while back. wonder how long it will take to get back into the habit of giving out to people(like i never stopped !;))

i want to see the day after tomorrow again ! dont think its out in the video store yet :(. hmmmmmmmmpf. called up the movie store and they dont have it for me !!, i wonder where i will get it from.



i was *very* smooth with some poor unsuspecting female in the chipper last nite.
looked deep into her eyes and complimented her straight out on how beautiful a set of eyes she had(they were a beautiful set of blues like mine).
it wasnt straight out, i did it under the ploy of showing a mate of mine how to chat a girl up ;).. ah well.
i offered to drop her home(she was in the same direction as i was), but she refused. she didnt realise how good my intentions were(really!) ah well. she can sit in the cold taxi rank waiting on all the queues.

OK exam went OK. im just happy its over.

My feelings for this special girl got a bit too deep, so i asked her out(again!!)
to make a long story short, my timing was half a week off for any possibilites.
now she is not ready for another relationship after a problem she had with another guy. so im left all alone.

I do know what she was going through. i understand that she needs time, and im going to give it to her. for now.


anyway. to bed with me. up for college early, might try and get a swim in in the morning. might help me concentrate.
AND!! fixed another 2 things wrong with the website.

going to look into robots.txt it seems its a file that will not allow search engines to search through part of the site. ill look into it, find out if i want it.(i know i will want it, if only not to get rid of all these errors)

girl is having problems, as in she is finished with guy!, all her friends didnt think it was a good idea from the start. she aint feeling too good these days. throwing out hugs... !

Ive dedicated my mind to my studies now, although i am here right now, and did have a swim too, but im more concentrated !

OK, all the files are transfered over,
all the old mail has been saved. email is still being sent to the old mail server for some reason. ive setup outlook to get email every couple of minutes now, so hopefully wont get much spam in the next coupla hours!(ha!)

i like their interface. i liked their responce time too(but that may have been them trying to get a new customer).
only problem i have so far is when i try and FTP the files from my computer to theirs i got ALOT of problems. Im going to assume that it was ht eFTP program i was using and going to throw it as far out the nearest window as soon as i can.
at the moment 100% for the hsoting company.

now lets get the study mind working for today

although reports of it were not too good. i enjoyed it.

OK.
study was started last week. getting my feet wet again, back into the mindset for study.
monday week i have my first exam, VSLI(very large scale integration) and yes it is a hard as it sounds !. it is a do-able subject but just need to get head down and study.

i asked a girl out that i really really really like, it took me a while to get it out. but i did.
she made up with her x last thursday ! how is that on timing. ah well. shelf the feelings again i suppose. all i can do is wish her the best, and as i told her, what ever makes her happy.

one of the lads has his burday today, i think, he is going out today anyway. i dont think im in the mood for a night out, and this would be a nite out ! see how i feel later.
im never in the mood to go out. too much money and too much hassle living out so far.

just got some italian garlic bread, sister cooked it up. it was nice!, think might actually go back for seconds... no i wont. im full. i dont think she should have cooked the entire thing, it was massive!, well only the two of us ate it.


im liking the broadband! thinking of trying to get back into #nohack the virus removal channel on IRC that i used to help on alot.

A police officer pulls a guy over for speeding and has the following exchange:

Officer: May I see your driver's license?
Driver: I don't have one. I had it suspended when I got my 5th DUI.
Officer: May I see the owner's card for this vehicle?
Driver: It's not my car. I stole it.
Officer: The car is stolen?
Driver: That's right. But come to think of it, I think I saw the owner's card in the glove box when I was putting my gun in there.
Officer: There's a gun in the glove box?
Driver: Yes sir. That's where I put it after I shot and killed the woman who owns this car and stuffed her in the trunk.
Officer: There's a BODY in the TRUNK?!?!?
Driver: Yes, sir.

Hearing this, the officer immediately called his captain. The car was quickly surrounded by police, and the captain approached the driver to handle the tense situation:

Captain: Sir, can I see your license?
Driver: Sure. Here it is.
It was valid.
Captain: Who's car is this?

Sure enough, there was nothing in the glove box.
Captain: Would you mind opening your trunk? I was told you said there's a body in it.
Driver: No problem.
Trunk is opened; no body.
Captain: I don't understand it. The officer who stopped you said you told him you didn't have a license, stole the car, had a gun in the glovebox, and that there was a dead body in the trunk.
Driver: Yeah, I'll bet he told you I was speeding, too.

OK. since i got the broadband in wow... over a week ago. didnt realise its been that long since i blogged.

anyway !, i had to reformat my computer 2 times !, and i think the laptop is going to need to get zapped too. two main things that i can put incase it happens to anyone else. just cos i know everything !, and im great...

If a popup comes up and says that you have 30seconds then your computer is going to shutdown. you are infected with a virus. you need to go onto the internet and get scanned on http://housecall.antivirus.com or download a program called stinger from http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/. To stop the computer from rebooting(just cos it is SO annoying!) goto -start-run- and type shutdown -a... this will stop the computer from rebooting so those programs can be run. remember you have 30 seconds to do this or it will reboot. the name of that virus or the first one that used that is the blaster worm.

2)
This you may need to print off, or if ur like me just remember...
if ever you try and run any exe file(internet explorer, word, anything!) and it comes up saying that the file can not be found. thats another infection.
what happened was that the virus was run, then it changed what happenes when you run any exe file(application) it will run the virus file, then the program you want. and the virus file was deleted. so this error appears.

this is slightly more complicated:
a) goto -start-run- and type in cmd(or command in win98/winME)
b) type cd c:\windows\
c) type move regedit.exe regedit.com
d) type regedit

note: Caution needs to be used in here. If anything is done that should not be done, it could destabilise windows totally !!! follow these instructions and you will be OK
moving along...

e) on the left hand side there are several items, click the + beside HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT,
this will open a long list of files
f) scroll down to where it says exefile
g) click on the + beside
h) click on + beside shell
i) click on the + beside open
j) click on the command folder in there.

OK...
there is a (default) item in there with the data something like: filename %1 %*
the file name is the problem

double click with the left mouse button on the (default)
a screen will come up with that data in the white box.
change it so as it only says: "%1" %*
and then close regedit
This has cleared up the exe files opening again. now we need to check out the http://housecall.antivirus.com website.

You should update windows regularly by going to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and update your antivirus(or get one if you dont have one!) regularly.

both of these happened to be since the broadband came in. lucky i knew what to do.

OK i have to go out and the the driving thing. ill post more later.
