well what im waffling on about it the fact that as of 10am this morning we had broadband here at home!. looks much the same as dialup, cept the way that we will never have to wait for the dialing up again. and disconnections, and slow speeds.
firewall was the first thing to be turned back on. best of course. have firewalls on the router and on the computers.

emmm, as always an hour before the lads want to do something, im told about it.
we went go karting last night. first time i ever did it !, enjoyed it alot!.
30 euro for 30min. suppose price is OK, cant do it in normal cars what we can do there.
id recommend it. i might post up the results. the results were pretty impressive too. i figure that the cart that i was in had an electronic signature. so every time i passed the start/finish line, the time it took to do that lap is recorded, and a list of all the times are printed out at the end. with best laps, and best laps in the group and all that.

going away with IMO this weekend. saturday we will be shooting then camping that night. then back home on the sunday. sounds like a nice little weekend. im sure there will be drink thrown in, and i heard mention of a BBQ.

OK going to log off, as such. but not really log off, cos im online. nm!

although was meant to be up at 5am this morn... it didnt happen ! :(
sister came in this morning at 8am and asked me whether i was meant to be in work at 5:30. i replied with no 5:00, to which she seems to agree then left. i lied in bed for a little while longer wondering why did she want to know whether i was to be in at 5:30 or 5:00, and decided that i didnt really, care and she probably didnt really care either. just trying to be nice and give a what-the-hell-are-you-still-doing-in-bed. i got into work, dying! :( i had a cold about 2 weeks ago, and it was gone from my system! and alas here it is back with me! :( not fair!
 
BBQ on sat with well with army. steak, chicken, lots of salad. the cans were 2 euro each. what else could be asked for. the party was a little slow, so while out getting batteries for my camera(which didnt work in the end!) i picked up a cheap(2euro) football, which later was told to be put away because it was meant to be a communial this, and half of us kicking a ball around was rude!. i left it in the car.
there was an amount of cleanup to be done the morning after, and one of our high bosses decided that if noone wanted to be subjected to partaking that a karoke would have to be done.
my own personal views on karoke are basically that i wouldnt even subject my shower to such horrors. so as it went, luckly they did not start with myself, but at the other end of the room, and worked its way up, which was kind of a relief. but i suddenly realiased that i was left to last !. there were plans for 3 of us to sing to gether to mute out anyone of us. but that fell apart. so with enough alickhol on me, i browsed the book of songs and picked Billy Joel's The Piano Man. i dont know how i pulled it off, but the tone and semitone changes, and the all the tempo changes and staccatto stops all came out perfectly(well more perfect than nothing, and good enough for so many pints), you'd swear that i actually knew what i was talking about.
 
emmm, got home on the sunday at maybe midday, the promises of a brekkie were tall tales, so the two of us stopped in a spar on the way home and picked up some brekkie sandwichs. i dropped him home, then came home my self. in a daze nearly! i wandered around for a bit. and then decided to sleep for a while. 14:00 i hit the pillow. ...

... midnight i woke, hmmm. without anything to do, i sent out a coupla txts, and read for a while, 02:00ish i went back asleep, until about midday monday! now thats ALOT ! of sleep. that brought me up to yesterday. and tried to go to bed early last nite, but couldnt get to sleep until 01:00 !!!, i didnt read, txt, computer nothing !. its not fair.  damn cold.
 
 
BB is scheduled for 8am on thursday, which is my day to work. so might take a coupla hours off to come home and just watch. kick them if they do anything wrong. They wanted to have a computer with a NIC, but my gateway/DSL router is all ready to take all the info, i decided not to confuse them.
 
ill still blog that dream. i told it to one other person, and it didnt sound that MAD!, what do they know!
oh yea... i found a joke in a mag today. ill post it anew...

OK first of all... i think they may have changed the layout for the blogger.com interface. looks nice. fresh. im impressed.
 
went out last night, drink was flowing, didnt end up that bad at the end of it.
tasted two new drinks... mojo, and... malabu with red lemondae. I liked the malabu+ it was easy to drink. mojo is a flavored shot. and when i say flavoured i mean as in flavoured like rhuarbab and custard, kind of flavoured. it was drinkable, but i dont know i would spend on it again.
There was another alcopop type drink. it was vodka with a flavour, i was on the apple, although i tasted a blue flavour of it(the drink wasnt blue like WKD!( :( wasnt impressed)). i was on that at the end of the nite.
 
emmm, having a BBQ tonight with the army. should be good. they said they were going to be drink all nite!, or i dont know how its going to work out. dont know whether im in the mood for another nite. though there aint much more to be doing.

i said that i had registered, then forgotten my password, so i tried to retrieve it several times, i emailed them, and everything(without a responce!, i might add). finially i decided that i should just see if i could get another account. nearly all setup, got the request, then realised that the username that i had been trying to use was incorrect. tried the different version, and voila. i got in. ooops... see the gmail.com, not everyone can register. only people that are already registered can invite people to register. and only if gmail.com think its the right time. i cant invite anyone now. but with me using up his invite, with my old account working. i wasnt too happy. he told me to offer it to the bro, so he got one now too.
 
anyway... oh yea. i have a dream that need to put up. its crazy!, but hey this is my blog!...
i woke up on the thrusday(day off), at 9, needed to drop the dad back into work after him leaving the van in for a service. but when i woke up, i was in the middle of a deadly dream, and it was still fresh on my mind. so with the laptop close by i decided to write it down, there and then!. i have it somewhere, will transcribe it sometime.
 
i got the wireless gear for the internal network now. so i can have laptop fully charged, with the wireless card in, and be anywhere in the house. not much good with we get the broadband in but its still a step in the right direction.
BB should be here next thursday we are told now. they keep putting it off! why are they putting me through this!!!
 
anyway, hawiaan shirt turned up so am going to iron it and have it ready for 7pm.

alright...
firstly from yesterday irw the broadband... the guy came at around 10am, got up on the roof, looked around abit up there, took a coupla a photos, and went said we would get a call, we did today. they need to get some1 to install it up our mast. and they will get back to us tomorrow afternoon, so its looking like the broadband installation will be moving into early next week, which will prob move to late next week. *tut* !

emmm, we got our internal wireless network gear. which means the card that i put into the laptop will let me connect to the main computer, and as soon as i get the broadband. out on the swing in the back or on the picnic table, surfing ! or more likely under my covers in bed! nice and cosy.


emmmm, my mood suddenly picked right up today, just after lunch time, for some reason. so who ever was in a bad mood out there, that cheered up mid day today, can we try for a bit earlier next time!

emmm...i dont know what else.
two holidays, as such that i might be able to go on. the IMO have a weekend away camping and all, shooting. im sure they will come up with acoupla more things to do. and my mates wants me to go abroad with them, i dont usually go abroad, nor drink in that matter. so i dont know.
ive a BBQ this weekend, staying over and all, with the RDF, end of year thing kinda. that should be good. im off work tomorrow, or rather today(after midnight !! :() and on the 5am-5pm shift again on friday.
its all dragging into each other methinks.
did get to go to the gym, had to rush home tonight to polish the boots. i got them good though.

alright... i started writing this blog really pissed off. im just in one of those moods.

my sister decided that since she got a new bed for her buyday last week, she would not only clean her old room out but paint it too! so she decided to empty the entire stock of house mugs from her room into the sink for me to wash !, i didnt take kindly to that.
straight out of bed, be in 7pm, i had to start making dinner and all that hassle. i wasnt in the mood! so i bought in for myself and my dad. later my sister got pissed off and i didnt have enough money to give her for 3 of them(i had 20 euro in change!, and she didnt want to take it).
When i was in the chipper(patatboer is the dutch word for chipper, it directly means "French fries farmer"... i learnt that today... come on lads lets go to the patatboer, see how that goes next nite out)

emmm... new thing on IRC for myself. i got this program that will let me stay on IRC all the time, when im away it will change my nickname, and when i come back it will just change my nickname back and tell me whether i have any messages or not. sooo... if i may have given any disrespect to anyone thinking i was ignoring them. i wasnt.


emmm, up for 5am again tomorrow morn, thats in just over 6 hours!, hmmmpf, and i think my sister wants to sleep in here so i think im being kicked out. re above, i dont care !


"primal fear" is just on Sky Movies 2(sky digital) and its look like a film that i *might* just sit into if i was just in a mood not to stand up.
methinks i will get up brush the table tops in the kitchen and fall asleep.

i missed my swim for today. ill put the swimming bag in the car and go right after work tomorrow.
tv just flicked... i would not mind a nice cool ping of cider, game american pool, and maybe 9 ball too. just relax. i think im getting stressed! thats it. im not used to that!, hmmm. need to chill out a bit. need to take a visit to relations in achill island, mayo, ireland. missing family. also thinkn alot bout the states, think it was about this time 2 years ago that i was over in the states. staying with all the relations, and like working and all that. i miss it alot!, the way it is, the way the people are. thats a place i need to go back to to. someday. hoepfully sooner.

Most people *should* have heard by now about googles new email servers. they are trying to bring arounda new era in webmail. first of all they have 1gb!!!(1,000mb) for email messages, where hotmail, for example only has 2mb. the second thing, which i dont like first off, is not to sort any of your emails, into folders for different subjects or people. what gmail does is sort everything itself into like related replies or conversations. The main idea is to search for an email rather than to sort it.
personally, i have the names on my phone sorted into people i know from college or work or family or what ever(cept the special few of course).

anyway, i got myself registered, noticed that someone took samhail !!!, so sent them an email say HI!!, i try to log on today and either i have forgotten my password or...
some1 out there saw the email from me, saw that they hate me and deleted my account, i cant even get my password sent out to me. ill leave it for a little while and suss it out abit.

broadband is coming this week!!!. is looking forward to it.
also going to start studying for repeats tomorrow!, need to pass the exams either way.

right, rolled out of bed at 11am, deserved+needed.
went to work to order the broadband, they will be coming out early next week to do a line of sight test for the wireless hardware, then coming out later next week to actually install everything. so hopefully this time next week i will be typeing about 20 times faster. looking forward to it. When ur used to *very* fast connections, not only are broadband speeds slow, dialup which im on now is slow!, anyway i dont complain!(much)

went for a swim today, gone every day this week now, good. should do more work int he actualy gym part though. ill start slowly, hopefully this time next year ill get up of my lazy...

getting hassled about study for the repeat exams middle+end of next month. generally its just a flip of the coin when i succeed or not with things. ill be grand with the exams.

i think we are moving for broadband here at home. that means that i can go online anytime i want !!!
also thinking of getting a wireless network at home. which means that not only am i online all the time. im going to have a card for my laptop that will let me connect to the net anywhere in the house!
Two things that i will need to do this: card in the laptop to connect to the main router; and the main router that will connect to the internet directly or through my firewall. all for less than 150 euro! i like it.

i fixed a bit on the blog that i only noticed not working now !, all the archives werent, working, well now they are.

emmm, i was going to blog about a dit survey that i was grabbed to do, to drink lots of different types of orange, and like mark the ones that were different, and the ones i liked. but i dont want to now, so i wont...

I have to mention my angel, the soulmate. (and its not that i was threathened to be beat to near death). what is it about women that just *love* that colin farrell. i just do not know!

ok. plans are good, right ?
up at radio off at 04:14, louder beep beep off at 04:15. up at hopefully 04:20. brekkie down, and into work by 05:00, and a good days work done by 17:00.
though we all know that plans rarely actually work out, right ?
got a call at 09:00 suggesting that i VAMUSSE !, and i did. grabbed a brekkie roll on the way in, and already had stocked up on lempsip, which i still have now. ah well.

Back to work wasnt as bad as i thought that it might have been, after photocopying and stapling maybe 400/500 sheets over the entire week ? printing+ folding+stapling over 25,000 sheets today alone wasnt so bad.
as soon as i get back to full health hopefully ill be up to my usual working speed.

i dont know whether i blogged about the PC game that im addicted to now. its a racing game, need for speed: Underground. i like it. never was into those type of games, but brother put it on the computer, and i played it once... what can i say.
and me playing it the morning that i left to goto cork has absolutely no bearing on the time it took me to get there! really !, no really !, really !!!

It was OK. was shooting in cork with army. met up with couple of corporals from IMO. and then aload of other people from IMO that i didnt even know.
As soon as we got down, did the whole marching thing then found a load of lads having a game of tip rugby, and ignroing my whole back injury i decided to join them. it wasnt very rugby like, but it was an oddly shaped ball with a load of lads running around in the muck. I had both of my army trousers down anyway. ah well. Back kinda held up. did a move i shouldnt have. I didnt cry though! got given out to my my sargent saying that im the only one who he knows that has a bad back and plays rugby. ah well.

got to cork and back in 3/3.5 hours each way, which is pretty good, 150miles, including stops.

down with a cold for some reason, not a good weekend for healthy ppl it seems. two lempsips and early to bed. cept for the early to bed bit, got the sheets washed, and now i gotta put them alll back onto the quilt and bed and pillow and all that. and all i wanna do is go to sleep !!! :(

there is a "Search Assistant" toolbar on the bar on my winXP on the laptop, and its annoying me now! im online now to get rid of it once and for all.

did nothing today! in for 08:30 and although i only arrived at 08:40, i found out i was meant to be in since 08:00. ah well.
nothing to as i said. I was finished work as such at about 10/10:30 but lended a hand to others. my boss and his boss, as such, left early they are all heading to cork today, where myself and the other guy are going down tomorrow. acc is sorted in that we are camping on the base with the rest of the lads.

I think i found a program called "Hijack this" said it would fix it.

New copy of MSN messenger out, wonder whats in it, try it suppose and see whats its about.

does anyone elses life ever feel like one of those duracell batteries ?
get up in the morning, work, come home, and goto bed. just a non stop day after day system.

did nothing today!, well a made tea!, twice!!. emmm, did a coupla photocopying runs, and did a bit of packing. too boring to be "the life".

got a missed call fm a mate, said he would ring me on tue for drinks, and didnt!. he,ll prob call again.

Plans are fallign together for going to cork over the weekend. im hearing stories of whats going to be happening, nearly missing not doing it. next year!.
